Greetings. In this Brilliance Nugget, I want to share with you a tool that has truly revolutionized the way I work. It’s called Notion, and to me, it’s like “love potion #9” (remember that song by the Searchers?).

Greetings. In this Brilliance Nugget, I want to share with you a tool that has truly revolutionized the way I work. It’s called Notion, and to me, it’s like “love potion #9” (remember that song by the Searchers?).
At the surface, it is a workspace where you can share what you’re working on with other people. You can definitely do that, but it also has become a fundamental tool for two things.
- The way I work with clients and
- For Brilliance Mining™ and Brilliance Extraction™
I wanted to show you this real quick. Here we are at this website, Notion.so.
- You can sign in for free.
- With a free Notion account, you can share information with up to five other people.
At the surface, it is a notetaking app, but it also has databases and so much more. You have a limited amount of storage, but even when you upgrade to a paid account, it will not break the bank. I think it starts at four dollars per month.
I want to show you what it looks like on the inside.
An Example of What You Can Do With Notion: My Client Portal
- I have a client portal. Inside that, each client has a page, and those pages have subpages.
- I have set up an example page because I don’t want to share confidential information. It is called “The Fabulous Client Page,” where you can put the client’s website.
- Here it has a table, but it’s not just a table. It’s a database. When we do a Brilliance Mapping™, where we find out what is that brilliance that this particular organization and person has, we map out different areas.
- You can tag each entry.
- You can make comments; there are all kinds of things you can record there.
Then I like to ensure that the client always has access to all the information. Here we have a page embedded in this page called session recordings and transcripts. I create another table that has this information:
- The (session) date.
- It has tags.
- It has the transcript of the conversation we had.
- It has a link to the video recording. With that link, you can get the video transcript. Of course, we can also put the transcript here in Notion. This way, we have everything in one place.
We Use Notion For Brilliance Extraction™
It’s a phenomenal tool. We use that for Brilliance Extraction™ because one of the methods of Brilliance Extraction™ is to explain what you’re doing to me as your Brilliance Extractor. We record the conversation. We can massage the transcript from it into all kinds of Brilliance Systems. These systems make your brilliance not only visible, which is the first step, but also transferable and furthermore immortal. So it doesn’t go away. This way, you get to leave a legacy.
Before you even get to that point, you can grow your business, organization, or whatever you’re working on. You get to grow it and scale it in much easier ways, and Notion is a powerful love potion. 🙂
