Happy Father’s Day!
“Father’s Day is a celebration honoring people’s fathers and celebrating the fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society. It was first proposed by Sonora Dodd of Spokane, Washington in 1909. It is currently celebrated in the United States annually on the third Sunday in June.”Wikipedia
The role of fathers has undoubtedly changed a lot since the inception of father’s day in 1909. Many fathers are way more involved in raising their kids than they used to be.
They are home more. They may choose career paths that allow them to be home more. They may coach their kids’ sports teams. The list of how dads are now more involved with the day-to-day raising of kids goes on and on.
Thank you, Dads! We love and appreciate you!
What are you doing today to celebrate the dads in your life?
P.S.: I appreciate you commenting and sharing this Treasure Tuesday with others. Thank you!
