Challenge: Find One Single Idea Each Day

Challenge: Find One Single Idea Each Day And Apply It In Your Life

This morning I went through an online course entitled “Become A Speed Reading Machine: Read 300 Books This Year.” The course does contain some advice about speed reading, but it is more about how to pick wisely what to read and to look for actionable ideas that help you make your life better. It is a great reminder when the author, Brandon Hakim, states that “a single idea thoroughly applied can revolutionize your life – read for ACTION!

He also challenges his learners to raise their standard and read about one book each day (I think that is possible). It occurred to me that I had to raise my standards to accept the challenge to produce and publish one Brilliance Nugget a day for a year. I’m glad I did!

I love reading – and love applying at least something from what I have learned. That is the author’s point as well: ditch the urge to completely read a book cover-to-cover but find ideas that help you advance your life. Then apply them!

That is my challenge to you today: Find one single idea each day (from whatever source) and apply it in your life! Let’s do that for a week and report back. I will raffle off three prizes among those of you who participate:

  1. A 30-minute Brilliance Mining™ session with me to learn more about the brilliance you have in your brain and how you can leverage it better
  2. A cool Brilliance Mining T-shirt
  3. An awesome Brilliance Mining sticker

The Challenge Rules

The challenge begins tomorrow (August 21). The last day is Saturday, August 27. Each daily idea you implement (and which you tell me about) earns you one raffle ticket. That way, if you implement one idea per day, you will get seven tickets. If you implement one for two days, you will get two tickets.

I will recruit a trustworthy third-party person to draw the winning tickets on Monday, August 21.

I’m Curious

Will you participate in the challenge?

  • Please write down your daily idea and what you did with them.
  • I’d love to hear from you and learn what happened as a result.
  • And don’t forget about those prizes!
