How the Courage To Be On This Journey Is Creating A Ripple Effect

By now I’ve published my first nine Brilliance Nuggets. I’ve managed to stay on track with my plan to write each day.

Personal Stories Instead Of General Treatises

I’ve allowed myself to write these nuggets as they occurred to me. A variety of topics and thoughts.

These nuggets are story-based. So far, they have been about MY stories. It has been an interesting shift to speak about things from my perspective.

My paper war. My decline in reading speed as a result of studying science. My brain freeze, and yes, my attacks of perfectionism – not someone else’s.

I also wrote about leading with vulnerability from my personal experience. That takes a bit more courage than writing a general treatise about any of these topics.

Read While Having A Cup Of Coffee?!?

How about writing only 300 words? The good news is these Brilliance Nuggets are shorter than any articles I’ve ever written. 300 words fly by fast though. I failed on that (so far). The average length was 741 words. One was only 402 words while “Pablo Picasso and the periods of life” spiked to 1396 words. There were a lot of periods to cover, what can I say.

If you believe irisreading.com, the average adult reading speed is 200-250 words per minute. Thus, unless you drink your coffee quite fast it still works to read a Brilliance Nugget over a cup of coffee Phew!

What About Feedback?

You have been phenomenally generous! You have commented in personal emails to me, and posted comments on the blog, and on social media! What a blessing! This means so much to me. Thank you! Please keep them coming!

Best Of All: The Ripple Effect

Also, several of you have told me that my journey has inspired you to write, too. Little nuggets on a consistent basis. How awesome! What a great ripple effect! Let me know where I can find your writing. I’d love to see it.

Writing is such a great way to extract your own thoughts and put them on paper. It makes them accessible to others. It even makes them immortal. Wow.

349 words. Time to stop. 354 now. Oh, man!

P.S.: I appreciate you commenting and sharing this Brilliance Nugget with others. Thank you!
