Hi, it’s Dr. Stephie with the Brilliance Mine. Today’s Brilliance Nugget is about announcing my first step to moving more (8000 steps per day which I forgot to mention in the video).

I don’t know about you, but sometimes when we’re in business, things are growing and growing and personal health starts to get a big bit on the back burner. I’ve observed that lately. That’s been happening for me. I’ve been staring at the screen too many hours a day and I didn’t go outside for enough. In fact, if I measure my step count it is kind of low.

So, what’s the first step? The first step is to decide. Deciding means cutting off the possibility of doing something other than what you decided. That’s what a decision really is, to cut off the other possibilities.

And the second step is to declare it. I have now written Brilliance Nuggets for more than half a year, every day, whether it was sunny or rainy or stormy or hot or whatever else outside, whether it was a holiday or sick. I did it every day – or I made sure that I wrote ahead of time to have every day covered.

Now that’s some commitment! I’ve demonstrated to myself that declaring something that I have decided to do to YOU really works for me.

Thus, I invite you to try that – actually not try it, but put it into action. Please test it out and see how that works for you.

First step: Decide.
Second step: Declare.

I’m Curious

What is it that you want to decide and then declare?
Drop your declaration into the comment box below this post, and I will be happy to be your declaration partner.

Dr. Stephie

P.S.: I appreciate you commenting and sharing this with others. Thank you!
