Live Your Dreams Now: Insights From My Nepal Adventure

Live Your Dreams Now: Insights From My Recent Nepal Adventure

In this Treasure Tuesday, I encourage you to live your dreams now – or at least work on realizing them sooner rather than later. I just got back from my amazing Nepal adventure. I am sharing the story behind this adventure and some insights with you. I am also showing you how I keep my insights from slipping away.

By the way, this video is from live broadcast (April 4, 2023).

Summary

  1. My dream of trekking in Nepal started when I was a teenager.
    • At age 17, I got into rock climbing and mountaineering. I decided I did not want to take the risk of climbing Mt. Everest (even though that seems so amazing!). Instead, I wanted to at least experience the Himalayas by trekking there.
    • My dream of trekking in Nepal took a back seat while I pursued other things in life.
    • My friend Susie’s invitation to climb Kilimanjaro with her woke up my Nepal dream again.
  2. I realized that my business should be able to make it possible to realize my dream/s.
    • You can realize your dream once you decide what you want and then go for it.
    • Isn’t your business supposed to give you time freedom, and flexibility? I think so!
    • But you must orchestrate your business such that it is not too dependent on you being there. That is what Brilliance Mining can help you do.
  3. I am encouraging you to live your dreams now and not keep them on the back burner for too long.
    • Identify your dreams, and do not keep them on the backburner for too long.
  4. I am sharing a few ideas for how to keep your insights at your fingertips instead of letting them slip away:
    • I’m using the concept of the “Second Brain,” a concept created by Tiago Forte. Jot down your insights in a way that can be electronically searched.
    • For example, I did my planning for the adventure in Notion (the app I use for my “Second Brain”).
    • I also summarized who I met during the trip, which gear worked or didn’t (or was needed or not needed), lessons learned, what money I spent on what, etc. These notes will help me stay in touch with the fabulous people I met and be important for my future trekking adventures.

I’m Curious

  • What are your dreams?
  • Can you currently afford the time to make them a reality? Start with one of them.
  • What needs to happen to make it a reality? Is it time, money (or both), or just a decision to do it?

If you have any questions about this, please ping me. I’d love to talk with you.

Live brilliantly,

Dr. Stephie
